has been running as an independent local charity for over 30 years.  The great majority of the running costs are provided by our Charity Shop situated at the top of the Narrow Way ( 207 Mare Street), Hackney Central which has become well known and  much loved by thousands of customers.

Prideaux House

has always sought to meet the needs of local residents in whatever way possible. At present a lunch/social club takes place every Friday from 12 noon,  as well as a Book Club. We also offer therapies and help people with whatever they need, even if it is just signposting them to the right organisation. The greatest demand in recent years has been helping the frail and elderly whose families may have moved away from the area. They really appreciate spending a few hours together with friends. However we know there are other needs out there, in this busy world, and we seek to find what other help we could offer. In order to see what would be welcomed we have started to contact other local organisations but would love to hear from residents directly.
